Pomo gift basket. Coiled weave with black designs and remnant shell beads. Condition is fair with numerous break outs on the 3 rod coiling. Unusual 3 strand twined start. Basket has an interesting Dau pattern. 4/10/2025 Ben Benson identified this a potentially being from Lake County. The beads are very old - drilled with a stone bit and pump drill indicating its age. Beads are tied on with a native material such as dogbane fiber. The designs stop just short of the rim coil.
