The entire exterior surface is covered in the feathers of the mallard duck and the meadowlark, that have been sewn into the three-rod weave. The effect is a dramatic three part geometric design of yellow against a field of deep green. The rim is adorned with bead money disks from the Washington clam shell. An accent of quail top knot feathers surrounds the rim. Dangles of abalone shell and tiny disk beads add the finishing touches to one of the finest Pomo feather baskets.
