Goblet basket

Pitt River, Achumawi tourist basket. Made as a goblet with a weave which is full twist overlay twining. The designs are clearly visible on the inside. Designs are diagonal geometrics in maiden hair fern stems or possibly redbud. They are done on a bear grass field. The foundation is willow and the weft is conifer root. Basket base has been broken away from main body and then resown. There are green paint stains on one portion of the side.
