Lidded basket from Puget Sound area of Washington British Columbia. Probably Makah. Oval shape with faded green designs on a yellow field. The designs are not faded inside. The weave is wrapped twining in bear grass. The designs are star patterns and bands in aniline dyed bear grass. Foundation is cedar bark. The base base has a plaited cedar bark start, a beach grass plain twined weft. The sides are in wrapped twining.
