Yurok and Karok globose shape basket. Designs are in black on yellow field. Closely twined basket decorated with 1/2 twist overlay twining. Designs are in black parallelograms with diamond shapes running through the center. There are 3 sets of parallelograms done in maidenhair with alternating diagonals in maidenhair fern stem and bear grass. Also a similar band of alternating light dark base. In the center bottom of basket there is a 1-1/2" diameter expanse of 3-strand twining, then diagonal twining then 1/2 twist overlay plain twining. Klamath River
