Twined storage basket

Pomo twined basket and it has a weave that is primarily plain twining with a single row lattice twining vein reinforcement around the rim. The basket is globose in shape. The weft is sedge grass over a willow foundation. It has elaborate band and geometric designs done entirely in redbud. The basket is crudely woven which is visible on the exterior along with numerous deviations. Design and irregular redbud patterns visible on the interior. Among the larger patterns one set of the triangular patterns has a set of repeated purposeful appendages at the base. The identifying feature is a central band in alternating light/dark pattern of stitches.
