Woodent Hair Comb Depicting Water Buffalo

Woodent Hair Comb Depicting Water Buffalo

This wooden hair comb was collected from the Democratic Republic of the Congo when the country was known as Zaire (1971-1997). The body of the comb rises into a carving of the face of a water buffalo, with its characteristic horns and hanging ears. One side has been written on in sharpie over a glued on piece of velcro, as this was once in a shadowbox made by the collector.
