This wooden hair comb was collected from the Democratic Republic of the Congo when the country was known as Zaire (1971-1997). The top of the arch-shaped body of the comb has a small spot where it appears something has broken off, but is otherwise in fairly decent shape. One side has been written on in sharpie over a glued on piece of velcro, as this was once in a shadowbox made by the collector.
