Basket

A small, round basket made from pine root, dyed fern, and porcupine quills (dyed yellow with moss). An accompanying note, addressed to Elsie Hill, reads: "This basket was made for you by and (sic) old Indian woman. The white portions are pine roots. The black are a specie (sic) of fern dyed black and the yellow are porkipine (sic) quills dyed with moss that grows on oaks. It is realy (sic) a nice piece of basket work -Lyle Hill"
