Veracruz Ceramic Head

Ceramic head formed from reddish-brown clay. Rounded with fully hollow interior. Small, delicate features, rounded cheeks, geometric headdress appear to be moldmade with large added earspools. Face is smiling. Nose is chipped and both sides of headdress broken off. Head appears to be broken off of a larger sculpture. Came with a small wooden base with very faded sticker on bottom- poss. Totonaca Vera Cruz. Photo supplied by donor says "Vera Cruz" on back.
