Miniature Hupa Cradle Basket
Twined construction basket. Peeled hazel or willow foundation with two different weft materials for design with alternating dark and light stripes. Darker stripes are possibly redbud. A commercial woven twine is tied across the front.
Basket has two breaks on uppermost section of basket, with portions of foundation rods broken off. A half inch section of wrapping around inner most foundation rods has broken off on upper right side. Basket has a distinctive "curl" to it on right side. A small piece of twine is tied to the back for hanging.
