Concha Belt
Sterling silver concha belt with 9 rectangular pictorial pieces depicting Navajo life. On a simple black leather belt. Stamped "B-c-t STERLING" on back of the fastening concho on the end of the belt. There are three holes punched into the leather belt to allow for its use in wearing. Made by Robert Becenti, Jr., Navajo artist 1949-2001. Value is approximately $1,800.00 -- each concho is worth $200.00, multiplied by the nine of them that are present on the belt, equaling $1,800.00.
