Basketry Choker Necklace
Choker necklace by Klamath River artist Vivien Hailstone. 4 strand with basketry. White, brown, red, black, and blue beads of various shapes and sizes throughout the necklace. Round woven basketry piece in the center of the choker, with two beaded tassels hanging from its center. The ends of the beaded tassels feature polished abalone shell beads. The back of the basketry circle is covered with leather, and has the artist's signature "V.H." and date "5/96" written. Tanned leather ties the choker together. Small, aged paper tag with "Choker Necklace 1995" written on it in cursive, together with necklace.
