Leuterit Viking Sword with sheath reproduction
10th Century, believed to be of Anglo-Saxon origin-- replica. Originally found in the River Witham opposite Monks Abbey in Lincoln, UK. The sword is known as the "River Witham Viking sword," "Lincoln sword" or the "Leuterit sword." The original is engraved with the word "LEUTLRIT," perhaps the name of the blacksmith who forged it. This engraving has been found on 2 other swords discovered in Estonia and Russia. Original is on display at the British Museum
