Kwakiutl killer whale mask About Artist: Chief Don Lelooska Born: 1933, Died: 1996 Lelooska was of Cherokee descent but was adopted by the Kwakiutl Sewide Clan at age 12. He was a master carver of totem poles, one of which is displayed at the Christchurch International Airport in New Zealand, and another at the Oregon Zoo.
