Tumpline
Pomo Tumpline carrying net. Head band decorated with clam shell around beads are 1/4" diameter 3/32 thick (circa 1950 - 1960), sling 36" long head band 12" long - 11/2" wide. Woven of wild iris fiber that is peeled out of the stem. NOTE: an iris leaf contains two hair like fibers. There are 112 clam shell beads woven in headband. They are set in groups of rows - 4 beads across (4 rows to each group except last group only has 3 rows).
