Miniature Cradle Basket
Although the weaver was working in miniature, she faithfully maintained the traditional techniques and materials in this tiny replica of a Pomo baby cradle. Wilow shoots have been bent into the "U" shape seat, with a straight back. The shoots are lashed with twine using a special binding stitch. A reinforcement rod is bound at the top of the seat as a kind of combination handle and protection bar, just as is done in full size cradles.
