Part of the Elsie Allen Pomo Basket Collection This small piece was made in 1971 and covered with mallard duck and meadowlark feathers. A three-rod coiling was sewn with a willow weft. The contrasting yellow and deep green feathers are attached so as to produce a four-pointed star shape on the base. This is an attractive and nicely formed gift basket.
