Part of the Elsie Allen Pomo Basket Collection From the most renowned Pomo basket weaver, this creation has blue and yellow glass seed beads sewn into the coiled weft. The Pomo are the only tribe where this tradition exists. In this piece the weaver has utilized zigzags that flow around the sides of the globose shape. One-rod coiling was employed using willow warp and a weft of sedge grass root. Quail topknot feathers grace the rim, creating a nice flourish.
