Part of the Elsie Allen Pomo Basket Collection A tiny model of the actual flaring cone of the Pomo burden basket, this example is finely woven. Plain twining was employed throughout in sedge grass root with redbud designs over a warp of willow. The design changes utilize weft reversal so that light colored contrast is achieved. There is a wrapped rim rod and five bands of designs.
