Part of the Elsie Allen Pomo Basket Collection Described as a small acorn gathering basket, this example is woven with three strand twining. Willow is used throughout the entire basket, for both warp and weft. The designs are formed by the contrasting colors of peeled and unpeeled willow. The willow warp strands are bent to become wefts that are twined together at the rim.
