Part of the Elsie Allen Pomo Basket Collection This small canoe basket has triangular arrowhead shapes that spiral up from the base to the rim that is decorated with light and dark segments. Single rod coiling was employed. The weft is sedge grass root that is now a deep amber color, showing considerable age. The designs are in bulrush root that has faded somewhat from the original deep black.
