Part of the Elsie Allen Pomo Basket Collection This handsome tray shape is plain twined with reinforcements of lattice bound twining on the exterior surface. Four design groups are seen in concentric bands of lozenge shapes. The weft is sedge grass root and the warp is willow shoots. The designs are in redbud. Such trays were originally designed for the sorting and processing of food products.
