Part of the Elsie Allen Pomo Basket Collection A "bidu sha khun" or acorn drying basket, this beautiful example has light and dark concentric bands of design. Both unpeeled and peeled willow were incorporated for this purpose in the plain twining. The rim is thickened with multistrand wefts to reinforce the edge. This is a rare example of fine quality.
