  • Circa: 1965
  • Dimensions: 36" x 48"
  • Culture Area: Southwest

  • Cultural Context: Made for sale. A short distance north of two gray hills lies a small trading center called Tocito (hot springs). Here a small group of weavers are recalling some early techniques and have begun modifying the standard two gray hills natural wool tones by inserting some aniline dyes into the weave. The dyed yarn will occupy the center eye of the pattern and possibly lesser usages in the corner panels.
