This metate is odd in shape; round as to wheras most metates are rectangular. The stone is grey and heavy. There is an area 7.5 inches long on one side where a piece has been broken off, but it probably has been broken for some time as the area is smooth and worn. Face is very smooth and has two 1/4 in. round [drip] marks. They are similar to the shape of an egg. No picture taken. Weight: 12 lb 9.2 oz (5705 g)
