Burden Basket
Burden Basket. Diagonal twined. Warp - willow; weft - willow. Design element - unpeeld willow. Design pattern - 3 bands on upper half of basket. Highest band (3/4" from rim) has a center in the negative. Middle band (3" from rim) also has a center in the negative. Rim finish is whip-stitched in redbud. The interior also has a band design. Makers hair woven into basket.
