Shallow tray
Tray. Plain twined, half twist overlay. Warp - hazel; weft - connifer root. Field element - bear grass. Design element - redbud, maidenhair fern. The center of basket starts w/ several rows of lattice twining then turns into plain twine and back again into lattice twining. The design on basket is called the shark tooth design. There are 2 rows of shark teeth, separated by a strip of redbud, bordered in black maiden hair fern. The rim finish is 1/2" crossed warp w/ a plain twine securing it in place. A rod of willow is whip- stitched onto the plain twine.
