Winnowing Tray
Winnowing Tray. Plain twined w/ half-twist overlay. Warp - willow or hazel; weft - conifer root. Field element - conifer root.  Design element - bear grass; multiple bands on interior.  Wide bands alternate in color. Also on interior is a double row of lattice twine 1 1/2" from rim.  On exterior 6 1/2" from base is a single row of lattice twining. 4" further from base,  is a double row of lattice twining.  Rim finish is whip stitched.  Grass bundle sewn down under weft in rim 6 stitches long,1 stitch wide.  Weaver's hair woven into basket.
