Lid
Flat plaque lid. Plain twined, full twist overlay. Warp - tule cordage. It appears to be a shared cordage- each warp element comes down to the center, then turns and goes bad out into the next warp element. Weft - cattail or tule basal leaf. Design element - black dyed tule root. Design pattern: two bands of staggering leaves, one 1 1/2 inches from top of plaque;the other is 1 inch from the rim and has one stitch of natural tule in the middle of the band. Rim - twisted tule cordage. Weaver has weaved in strands of her own hair.
