Mush Bowl
Mush bowl. Plain twined,1/2 twist overlay. Warp - hazel; weft - conifer root.  Design element -  natural bear grass and maidenhair fern stems. Design pattern - several alternating beargrass and maidenhair fern stem lands running the circumference of the basket from the rim to the center base.  At the shoulder there is a 1 1/2" inch wide, double band of alternating colors of black and blonde.  Basket stitching is fairly crude; there are several missed stitches and several stitches that cross over two to three rows. Perhaps a beginners basket or not an experienced weaver.  Interior - one willow rod that crosses over four warp rows and up seven weft rows.
