Hopper Basket
Hopper basket. Plain twined; full twist overlay. Warp- willow; weft- conifer root. Design element - bear grass. Exterior has two double rows of lattice twining; one is two inches from bottom; the other is 1 1/2" inches from the rim. Between lattice twined rows is a solid field of bear grass. Above and below rows the full twist overlay is every other stitch.Two rows of twisted willow and two rows of twisted conifer root are twined into warps near hole for strength .
