Technique: Carved, engraved, polished. Materials: Whale bone (base); steatite (soapstone); hardness <7 (figures) Design Elements: Three figures - a hunter dressed in traditional parka, and two seals. The hunter appears to be sneaking up on the seals - he is crawling towards them. The figures fit on different parts of the whale bone base which resembles landscape features.
