Technique: Carved, engraved, polished. Materials: Steatite (soapstone) ; hardness<7; grennish grey with natural variation. Design Elements: Sculpture of a woman from the torso up. She is carrying a baby on her back. The child's and woman's faces are the only engraved parts of the sculpture.
