Technique: carved, engraved, polished. Materials: Steatite (soapstone); hardness <7; light greyish-green to darker green; marbled look to stone. Design Elements: Walrus is standing on all fours, head and neck turned toward back. Prominent tusks are white in color and glued into two holes that have been carved into the stone. Eyes & mouth are incised.
