Basket: Pomo-coiled, one rod, round. Warp-willow; weft-sedge grass root; designs- redbud. Designs - four registers of verticle deer back patterns. Base is plain. Design goes from rim (ant tracks) down sides, around bottom shoulder and approx. 1" on to base; this appears to be a beginners basket. The start - about the size of a quarter is finely woven and then the rods abruptly change to a much larger size, at the lower shoulder the rods and the weft drop abruptly to a smaller size.
