Cotton Cloth Fragment
Fabric from the Verde Valley Ruin 1500 AD (tag). The material was folded up into a 1/2" x 1" area...I have unfolded it and put into a rickor mount. The material has bits of iron rich quartz sandstone attached at the fringes. There was also a piece of cordage 1" long with fragments of the cordage embedded in the material. Under the microscope there is also visible some white/gray hair. The material is cotton. One side of the fabric looks like it is an edge or selvage.
