Female Doll
Female Pueblo Doll.
This doll is made by a clay mold then painted. The joints are wooden beads and the doll is connected on the inside with a strong elastic. She is wearing a red flower print cotton skirt and a 4 pointed star cotton blouse. She has on a white apron of white cotton eyelet. A purple cape that has been edged in a purple thin satin. The edging is torn loose on the right shoulder. She is wearing a traditional black one shoulder dress that has been sewn together with red yarn. The left leg joint paint is completely worn off. Originally she was wearing white buckskin shoes with a tin button. There is only one shoe in good repair the other only had the sole and a part of the upper left. The tin button is still attached. Her hair is black and worn in a tied pig tail in the back with a red ribbon.
