Cradle Board

Navajo Baby Cradle Board with leather ties. It is made of unfinished wood which has been hand carved including the holes for the ties. The hole on right has been repaired with glued in wood sliver. there are 5 basic pieces of wood forming the cradle board. 2 backs, left and right, 1 foot rest, 1 head piece, and 1 back brace. The leather strap is continuous single piece and is attached to the board by looping the strap through the hole and inserting a piece and is attached to the board by looping the strap through the hole and inserting a piece of leather as a stopping peg.
