Water Jar
Navajo Water Jar with double handles. This jar is shaped in a beautiful olla with two rows of scalloped cursive letter m edging done between the handles. There is a visible rim crack about 12" long that has been repaired inside and out about ever 1/2" with a clear substance. The repairs are 1/4" inside and out about 1/2" with a clear substance. The repairs are 1/4" round injected blocks of blue. According to donor when it was stored in their garage it was over-spayed with a latex base house paint. There is a visible diagonal crack on other side of the pot but the paint covers any repairs if they were done. There is a chip out of one of the scalloped edges. Resin/shellac covers the body of the jar before the paint was sprayed on. It also has black fire marks visible.
