Basket Tlingit - spruce root weft. Twined basket decorated in false embroidery of dyed bear grass. Large design; dark brown, 2 horizontal rows circling basket. Small design light brown and gold; 1 horizontal row circling basket. Rim is very fragile - has been repaired w/sewing thread . One tear 3/4" below rim - repaired w/ sewing thread. Repairs are not holding.
