Jar
Navajo Water Jar/Drum. This jar has an indented flared neck with a raised incised design which stops short of enclosing the neck of the jar. It is black from a reduction fire process and has fine dirt embedded in the surface of the jar. It was then covered with a shellac or other resin encasing the dirt. It has a round bottom and has difficulty standing by itself.
