Rug or Wall Hanging
Yei Style Rug. Warp of commercial twine and warp of spun wool. Designs are analine dyed wool. This textile depicts two yei figures with arms raised to shoulder height holding two staffs with a green stalk of ripened corn between them. The corn stalk, in the center, is bordered by stripes of brown. The far ends, on the other sides of the yei figures, are filled with brown stripes that go dark to light, yellow, background offwhite, yellow, and then light to dark brown.
Warp endings have been woven back in with a croquet needle at ends.
