Kachina Doll
Seated Mudhead Kachina Clown carved of cottonwood. He is beating a drum. The drum is attached by a ribbon cord. His body is painted dark brown. He is a prankster.
The Mudhead kachina is a clown kachina who may be seen in many Hopi ceremonies. His body is painted in red-brown clay. Mudhead Kachinas drum, dance, and play games with the audience. At First Mesa they are said to sing Zuni songs.
