Kachina Doll

Kachina Doll. This is a Hano Clown who has a human face. He is carved in a side stepping fashion with his left foot crossing to the right side. He has a breach cloth on and an animal skin attached to the belt all carved of the cottonwood. He wears a shawl attached to a string around his neck and carries a stick and a rattle. There is black yarn tied around his right wrist and left leg. There are feathers on the back of the head but have deteriorated. Otherwise in very good condition. The clown functions as a mocker and joker. His face is painted white, his body is painted a dappled whit. *See notes below in reference and additions to blue card. RSM
