Plaited Basket
Ojibwa plaited conical basket. Materials: Black ash splints vertically plaited with "curled" or "Porcupine" work producing a relief decoration. "Curled" work done in red, yellow, green, orange, and black ash splints. Two hoop handles of sweet grass on sides. Purchased in 1958 in Michigan.
