Chehalis basket. Puget Sound of Washington State. The weave is twined, a wrapped twining. A tourist basket with bright colored designs of water birds, swastikas, and geometrics done in dyed bear grass. The warp is tule or cattail and the weft is bear grass with designs done in dyed bear grass. The weave is of modest quality. There is a taped name on the bottom; Hoag. Pitch down and right, Tule or cattail foundation.
